Is it legal?

Prostitution in Republica Dominicana and Costa Rica  is legal - though prostitution of minors under 18 is not, even though it is primarily catholic country. In N. America and Europe, sex workers (we prefer the use this term rather than prostitutes) have a negative connotation, whether it be streetwalkers, massage girls or escorts. Ladies are free to work and without harassment. And while many women in the U.S. and other countries become sex workers because of drug and other addictions, rarely is that the case here. Most women are there to better their economic situations and care for their families. Some will work only a few days per month, while others make it a career choice. So to sum it up: Yes along with gambling. This country realizes along with many other Countries that sex among consenting adults cannot be regulated nor should be.
